Tourism I - Requirements

Requirements for enrolment in the 1st year
  • Matura, vocational matura or final exam (4-year secondary school programme).

Requirements for enrolment in the 2nd year
  • Graduates of vocational higher education programmes (related to economics or business management) adopted after 1994.

No bridge exams required.  

  • Graduates of vocational higher education programmes (technical and similar fields) adopted after 1994 are required to pass the following bridge exams prior to enrolling in the 3rd year:

  • Students of vocational higher education programmes, university programmes and related vocational higher education programmes and university programmes of the 1st cycle will be assigned additional obligations to be fulfilled prior to completion of studies.

Requirements for enrolment in the 3rd year (2010/11)
  • Graduates of higher education programmes (technical fields) adopted prior to 1994 are required to pass the following bridge exams (31 CP) prior to completing the 3rd year: Business System Economics, Fundamentals of Marketing in Tourism, Trends in Tourist Activity, and Business Models in Tourism.
  • Graduates of higher education programmes (related to economics or business management) adopted prior to 1994 are required to pass the bridge exam in Business Models in Tourism (8 CP) prior to completing the 3rd year.

Conditional enrolment in the 2nd year is possible for students with accreditation of at least five 1st year exams taken at other higher education institutions.
Full-time students must not be employed or registered at the Employment Service of Slovenia.
