Invitation to the 5th Scientific Conference

The Faculty of Commercial and Business Sciences invites you to the fifth international scientific conference entitled Knowledge and business challenges of globalisation in 2013, focussed on the topic of “PROSPECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND SERVICES”. The conference will be held from 14 to 15 November 2013 at the Faculty of Commercial and Business and Commercial Sciences in Celje.

The topically diverse plenary parts and organised conference sections will present papers by numerous researchers and experts from different countries, who are – similar to our colleagues – eager to exchange the results of their research and interested in producing new high-grade knowledge in the fields of commerce, business IT and tourism. Moreover, the conference offers an excellent opportunity for students to participate in research with their projects and to test themselves in professional discussions.

The conference topic sections are:

• Intelligent Solutions in Business IT
• Challenges of Destination Management in Tourism
• Modern Approaches to Knowledge Management
• Global Challenges in the Field of Entrepreneurship and Marketing
• Financial and Accounting Perspectives

The conference working languages are English and Slovenian.

Call for papers

We kindly invite you to submit your paper through the conference website.

Each paper must be from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 10 pages, and must be produced according to the template that will be published on the conference website in April 2013. Papers can be published in Slovenian or English. Each paper must contain a title and an abstract in English. Authors of papers in Slovenian are kindly requested to provide titles and abstracts of their papers in both languages (Slovene and English) and to specify the topic section within which they wish to present their paper when they submit their abstracts and papers.

Each paper will undergo an international revision process upon which authors will be notified about any reviewers’ comments. The approved papers will be published in the conference proceedings in digital form. The paper abstracts will be published in a printed version of the conference proceedings. EACH PAPER MUST BE FORMATTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEMPLATE. Authors also have the option to leave the formatting to the conference organiser in accordance with the applicable pricelist.

A committee will select and reward the top three papers, which will be published in renowned international scientific journals.

Each author will receive the conference proceeding with abstracts upon their registration on the day of the conference and the proceedings with full papers in January 2014.
The papers will be presented in the form of lectures.

Important dates

• 30 June 2013 – deadline for registration with the paper abstract (up to 250 words)
• 10 August 2013 – deadline for submission of the paper
• 7 October 2013 – deadline for submission of the final version of the paper and registration for the conference

A detailed conference programme is expected to be published in the middle of October 2013.

Conference venue and implementation

The conference will be held at the Faculty of Commercial and Business Sciences, Lava 7, Celje, from 14 to 15 November 2013.
