Profile of a graduate


Graduates of the programme acquire extensive knowledge in their field of expertise, as well as the ability to apply it to marketing, accounting and financial functions, and other directly or indirectly related functions relevant within a company or in international business. Based on their interdisciplinary knowledge of areas of action, graduates are qualified to plan, organise, manage and control marketing, accounting or financial functions in companies for which the main aim is to make a profit or to provide a public service with profit being secondary, in organisations providing public services or in public administration. Following are the key subject-specific competences acquired in the master’s study programme:

  • Knowing and understanding the history of the development of economics and other business sciences.
  • The ability to understand and solve problems with the use of scientific methods and procedures.
  • The ability to connect knowledge from various fields (interdisciplinary knowledge).
  • The ability to place new information and interpretations in the context of discipline development.
  • The use of information and communication technology and systems.
  • The ability to recognise and manage the actual and anticipated role and relevance of the human resources function in solving problems within an organisation.
  • The development of skills and capabilities for knowledge application in the fields of economics, business management, administration, finance, law, audit, human resources etc.
  • The ability to recognise and manage new forms of organisation, relations and types of work.
  • The ability to recognise opportunities and dangers in the global market, particularly in the fields of sales and supply, and the ability to recognise the specifics of relations with individual EU principles.
  • Extensive in-depth knowledge in the field of the chosen module.
  • The ability to use IT and to choose the appropriate principle for solving work problems with the use of IT.
  • The ability to introduce changes in an organisation.
  • The ability for analysis, synthesis and predicting solutions and consequences of phenomena in intercultural communication and international business.

  • The ability to solve conflicts and moral problems and to manage cultural differences with the use of scientific methods and procedures.
